The History Channel’s new series “The Proof Is Out There: Military Mysteries“ gives viewers an inside look at the most mysterious elements from the modern history of war.

Combat veterans Rudy Reyes and Ronnie Adkins unravel the mysteries behind the strangest and most controversial images, sounds and documents from the modern history of war. ‘Mysteries’ episodes span the modern era of warfare, including the World Wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Cold War, the Gulf War and the conflicts of the 21st century.

The series premiere of “The Proof Is Out There: Military Mysteries” will air tonight, Monday, April 22 at 9 p.m. on the History Channel.

Fans of the new series who don’t have traditional cable services, but want to stream episodes live can watch it through Philo, which offers a free trial to new subscribers.

What to expect this season

According to the show’s official synopsis, “Combat veterans Rudy Reyes and Ronnie Adkins unravel the mysteries behind the strangest and most controversial images, sounds, and documents from the modern history of war. Mysteries span the modern era of warfare, including the World Wars, The Korean War, the Vietnam War, The Cold War, The Gulf War, and the conflicts of the 21st century. Assassinations caught on tape, exploding battleships, ghost planes, vanished soldiers, propaganda hoaxes, alleged cover-ups and conspiracies are analyzed and dissected by Reyes and Adkins, aided by a team of top experts, and former members of the military. Each episode lifts the veil of secrecy on the fog of war.”

In tonight’s episode, treasure hunter Darrel Miklos and his team are embarking on a mission to solve one of the most intriguing mysteries in history: the disappearance of the Nazi’s looted WWII treasure. It is estimated to be worth billions of dollars.
