Take part in the spirit of the holiday season and use that chance to make a real difference for good causes.

The local Wounded Warriors group is planning a charity dance event for the evening of Saturday, Nov. 25. The goal is to raise money to help veterans and those who continue to struggle with the effects of war.

Mark your calendars for the start time at 7 p.m., when the Langford Royal Canadian Legion will become the centre of a joyful party. At this fundraising celebration, two of Victoria's best dance bands, The Soul Shakers and LateShift, will play captivating sets that will make the night unforgettable.

"There are people who worked in the police force or fire people that had injuries, mental health issue from PTSD and stuff like that so that's where the money goes to," said Peter Willing, event organizer. "People can also donate on the Wounded Warriors website, but the main goal is to have people coming and having a good time in the event while also helping those in need."

The tickets will be $25. You can call 250-478-1828 to buy them or go straight to the Langford legion, which is situated at 761 Station Ave. Come spend the night with us and help a good cause while enjoying music, dancing, and good company.
